Downdraft tables are designed to capture dust and fume. The table essentially functions as a workbench with a perforated work surface. This allows the dust and fume to be pulled through the table top and into a filter cartridge. When running, the table will pull dust and fume away from the operator giving them a clear vision of their work piece and protect them from harmful fume.
